1. High Quality & Original Contents

Many say Quality is King and it is not only true but it is a key factor behind on-line business or career success. It is the quality that demands the attention of search engines to consider your articles and give it high page rank (PR). Higher PR means that your article are rated highest in the search engines and are most likely to be read by those that search for keywords related to your articles. For some reason, many viewers prefer to have answers from the articles that appear on the first page of the search engines. I am guessing that viewers trust the search engines to brings out the best or in other words high quality, original and relevant articles to showcase on their first pages.

Let’s take an example;

Say you want to look up On-line Dating Tips into your Google browser without the "....." symbol, this is what you get....About 42,800,000 results (0.16 seconds).

You aim is to convince Google with the quality of your article so that Google gives your article priority by placing at least in its first or second page. say 1/10 in 42,800,000 search results. Sounds great uh! Read on.

How do you write quality hubs

Having said that, the next question that comes to mind is, how do you write quality hubs?. My answer is simple. I have read Mark Knowles hub on how he got his hub ranked number one by Google. The simple strategy he used was to write a flagship hub.

Here's my list adapted from Mark Knowles and my previous hub.

Here are the Instructions:

  • A minimum of 1500 words, of your own, high-quality purely original writing
  • A minimum of 3 relevant video capsules (YouTube or Google)
  • A minimum of 5 relevant images
  • At least 10 relevant links to other sources, each with your own 30-50 word description
  • A news capsule (or highly-relevant RSS feed)
  • Excellent thematic and aesthetic organization

Try this out and see...I assure you will be surprised. I just did and my hubber score has jumped from 83 (lowest) to 90 and its hitting 92 at the time I published this hub.

A Simple 1-2-3 Guide to Getting Better Search Results

  1. Write content that uses words and phrases used by people who search for your product
  2. Build links to your pages to show they are important
  3. Keep doing it!

2. Search Engine Optimization or SEO

Search Engine Optimization or SEO is the process of getting traffic from the “free,” “organic,” “editorial” or “natural” listings on search engines. It is the simple activity of ensuring a website can be found in search engines for words and phrases relevant to what the site is offering. In many respects it's simply quality control for websites.

So in simple terms SEO involves writing pages that use keywords, words people use in searches, and securing links from other pages to show how important your page is compared to others.

Success formula

Great Content + Quality Links = Search Engine Success

Keyword or phrase-Key In SEO

A keyword or keyword phrase is what a web user types into the search engines in order to find relevant web pages and the use of Keywords in text is an essential component of good SEO.

Never ever do this.....“Guessing” at keywords and bolding words you think might be important for SEO is really not the way to go about optimizing your content nor will it help your SEO.

The only way you can truly know what keywords are actually good keywords is with the help of a keyword search tool. Some people prefer to use what we call "Long tail keywords". Long tail keywords are keyword phrases with three to five words in them and they narrow the search down even further. Long tail keywords are usually more specific and will draw lower traffic than shorter, more competitive keyword phrases.

3. Submit URL to big search engines: Google, Yahoo, Bing

Now this is something you do if you want to. It won't hurt if you don't. But when it comes to getting massive traffic to your site, this becomes necessary. Here I only discus three major players. Google, Yahoo and Bing. The reason being that these top 3 search engines take up 95% of the online market. The remaining 5% are going to have a long battle ahead if they'd like to conquer the giants. There are many out there your can source from from internet.

Submit URL to Google search engine

Google remains the number one search engine in the internet world. To submit your hubs URL to Google, just go over to Google and type "URL submit,". A page like below would be pulled up. There you go. Fire away your hubs URL.

Submit URL to yahoo

Yahoo is the second best search rated engine after Google. To submit your URL to Yahoo, sign up for a free yahoo account . Follow the similar procedure outlined under Google. This time type yahoo, not Google. The first entry most likely will be the Yahoo page to submit your website or store URL. A page like below will show up. Simply input the URL here and you're ready to go.

Submit URL to Bing

Bing remains the third moslty used search engine in the internet world. It is works just like Google and Yahoo and is its also very easy to submit URL. Submit your URL to Bing by doing an Bing search on "bing url submit,". This will notify Bing that your website exists.

4. Promote your hubs in social networking sites

T get more traffic to boast your search engine raking, you have to promote your articles in social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter, Dig and many others you can source on-line. In many ways, great content is even more important when dealing with social networks than making it easier for users to find what they are looking for. The reason for this is that social networks not only can provide a positive influence on your site, but a negative effect as well. If someone doesn't like your site and complains about it on a social network site, they can ruin the chances that others will even look at your site. Likewise, if someone praises your site on a social networking site, it can greatly increase the chances of others visiting your site

How to promote articles on

Face book

You can post an update with a link to an article you wrote, but make sure you make it helpful. The golden rule with social media is no sales pitches, no hype, no blatant self-promotion. Bring other people value, help them solve their problems and build trust first. When posting a link to your article, you can either put the title “How To…” or anything that will catch their attention.

Twitter

If you have many followers on Twitter, tweet your new articles, especially stories and How-Tos. Make sure you also tweet other people’s stuff, as it will also help people and you will appear to them like an expert and not as someone who wants to promote himself.

5. Interact with others

One single most important thing you can do to drive traffic to your site or hubs is by getting out and interacting with your audience. If you just shut up and wait, you don't get noticed. But if you say something nice to others and say it in a way that turns their head to you, you have done well by getting their attention. In internet world, getting attention is the game we play.

For instance in hub pages, you have to get out and participate in the forums, reply comments, ask ans answer questions and their more to do. You will be easily noticed and that when you grow your audience and so is your traffic. Simple thing. Get out! Participate. No magic formulas.

Lets say, those who love automobile would be discussing every thing about automobiles in a common place call forum. We have health, relationship, career and all sort of forums in internet. Most of them require one to sign up and then participate. Some forums allow you to back link your articles. For those who write for specific niches, forums are excwellentn option to get massice traffic to your site.

But let me warn you that 'Don't be an unscrupulous participant". Live by their rules and you will be rewarded.
