The word stress has become so famous in the modern days. You won't miss hearing it everywhere. It has simply become an epidemic of modern times. You can prove this by comparing the statistics of high numbers of anti-depressants out selling other types of prescription drugs and the lists of best sellers include soothing volumes on how to deal with stress.

Rather than going straight to the symptoms, it is proper that we get to understand what stress is.

What Is Stress

The most simplest and practical definition of stress is given by Mike Reeves McMillan. Mike also runs courses on stress management.

Here's the link to his site that http://stresshowto.com

Categories of stress

The medical experts provided fancy categories of stress. I found those information so technical and requires medical experts and psychologist to understand. Bit of research has yielded the following simple, easy to understand categories.

1. Good stress

2. Bad stress

3. Over stress

5. Under stress

These categories are self explanatory. I will soon show you a video that will shed some light into the categories of stress listed above.

When you hear a person referring to stress these days, they most likely referring to being "over stressed" with "bad stress"

Medical research has proved time and again that stress leads to long term health problems. Accept the fact being ignorant to stress only adds more health problems to your life and reduces your years on earth.

Medical research has shown a strong correlation between brain and humane system. What is this link anyway? When we are overstressed with bad stress, the activity of our bodies human system is affected. No wonder some illness is expressed by stress by individuals.

Word of advice

Stress as we know can have detrimental impacts on our health in the long run if we don't manage it at present. My word of advice is "Never to take short cut methods of relieving stress"

Drugs like marijuana, cocaine or any others or even alcohol do not solve your problem. They conceal the problems just to let it appear again later on. Resorting to drugs to manage stress means treating the symptoms only, not the cause.

It is better to use strategies that involves searching within your life and finding the real cause of stress.

Hope you learnt something from this hub.

I wish you good health.
